Description

The lineage for the El Dorado hop goes back to Brewer's Gold, Bullion, Comet and Fuggle and was released in 2010 by CLS Farms in Moxee, Washington.

El Dorado is a dual-purpose hop that can be used in all hop additions throughout the brewing process.

El Dorado hops elicit responses of fruity notes and tropical fruit flavors. When used as a bittering hop, El Dorado lends a soft and balanced bitterness. When used in later additions El Dorado brings bright tropical fruit flavors and aromas of pear, watermelon, candy and stone fruit.

Some hops just taste better together. We recently analyzed [ 1 ] hundreds of the most popular beers to find which hops are commonly paired together. We found that Citra , Mosaic , Amarillo , Simcoe , Motueka , Galaxy & Cascade hops are commonly used alongside the El Dorado hop. This is not a complete list, but should give you a good idea of what hops are commonly used together.
